Hi Everyone,

If you came along on the Sisters’ Centennial Motorcycle Ride with us last year you’ll know that birthdays are a big deal to me. Not a big deal in terms of parties or gifts, but in the sense that I use them as life markers to measure where I’m at and where I’m going and what I still want to accomplish. I have a list of things I want to do, and in order to make sure they get done I set deadlines for making them happen.

Riding a motorcycle in Croatia was a bucket-list item for me and it had been on my list for a very long time. This is the year! A couple weeks ago I borrowed a friend’s bike and I’ve been slowly making my way to Croatia through Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro. Sounds heroic, right? Well, I’m here to tell you that my biggest challenge has been my own fears and mental chatter!

My friend Igor, who lent me the bike, said to me when I arrived, “Where is that courageous woman who I met riding alone in Central America?” Because I’d waffled and tried to cancel several times before picking up the bike. Even though I’m an “experienced” traveler, even though I’m an okay rider, I still doubt myself. A lot sometimes. But I still keep on keeping on. I still keep moving forward. Yes, I still have to deal with my mental chatter…and I’m a “pro”? Ha!

I’ve decided to start sharing that side of the journey with others, to start talking about the challenges even “experienced” moto travelers have. Because it’s all the same, whether you are intimidated about riding to Montana or to Montenegro. If you’re interested in doing more exploring on two wheels, I’m here to help you.

Today is my Birthday, so this month I’m giving away an hour of my mojo to two ladies: a one on one Zoom or Skype call with me for moto mentoring (even a coffee break if you’re from SoCal!) You can have a full hour or two half-hour sessions asking me anything you want – about motorcycling or breaking into the motorcycle industry, product advice, overseas travel on two wheels, what type of bike to buy, etc.. Or use me as your coach to get on the road and follow your two-wheeled dreams. Anything.

To enter, “Like” the Women’s Motorcycle Tours Facebook page, then send me a private message through the WMT Facebook page and you’re entered. We’ll do an anonymous drawing at the end of the month and let the winner know right away.

Ride on, ~Alisa
