We start in Las Vegas, and spend 8 days riding through Nevada, Arizona, Colorado and Utah. This tour is all hotels and all pavement. We’ll visit the Grand Canyon, ride the Canyonlands of Utah, visit Zion National Park, Bryce National Park, Monument Valley and more. There is a rest day in Moab, UT. Hotels are mid to high range, with a one night stay in a Conestoga Wagon! ***ALL MEALS ARE INCLUDED!*** Free shuttle from the Las Vegas Airport (if necessary) and to the bike rental place of your choice if renting a bike. This tour will be self-supported with no chase vehicle. This is the absolute best time of year to ride in this area.

200 miles – Stay in Kanab, UT
Today we’ll leave Las Vegas early to beat the heat and head to Springdale, Utah, gateway to my favorite U.S. National Park – Zion National Park. We’ll lunch in Springdale, then take a leisurely ride through Zion, heading to the hotel in the late afternoon.
205 miles – Stay in Page, AZ
Today we ride into Arizona and have lunch at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. In the afternoon we enter the Navajo Indian Reservation, see the Vermillion Cliffs and cross the mightly Colorado River. WE get our first glimpse of Lake Powell as we descend into Page.
244 miles – Stay in Cortez, CO
Today we ride mostly in the Navajo Nation. We get to take a look at the magnificent Monument Valley, and over the border in Utah we’ll stop and take pictures of the impressive Mexican Hat rock formation. We’ll take small roads through the Southwest corner of Utah and enter Colorado, riding through the Canyon of the Ancients National Monument. We sleep in Cortez, Colorado.
135 miles – Stay in Moab, UT
Today we have two choices: A) Ride West and explore Mesa Verde National Park in the morning, then take the direct route to Moab, arriving at the hotel early in the afternoon. Option B) Allows for more riding. We’ll briefly visit Mesa Verde, then head deeper into Colorado up the Million Dollar Highway and have lunch in Silverton. Then we’ll head back over secondary (paved) roads to Moab, where we stay for two nights.
Rest Day in Moab, UT _or_ Ride 100 miles – stay in Moab, UT
We’ll take a later start today, mid-way through our tour. Our three options are A) rest _or_ B) Visit Arches National Park as well as visit Grand View Point in Canyonlands National Park _or_ C) a visit to the Needles Viewpoint in Canyonlands National Park.
267 miles – Stay in Torrey, UT
Today we’ll skirt the Abajo Mountains on our way to the Natural Bridges National Monument. We’ll ride through the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and stop for the night just on the other side of Capitol Reef National Park in Torrey, UT. A night time bonfire while staying in modern, deluxe Conestoga Wagons is our treat this evening.
239 miles – Stay in Cedar City, UT
Today we ride the incredible Utah Route 12, skirting the Staircase-Escalante National Monument. We’ll lunch at Bryce Canyon Village, then head into the Canyon to take some pictures of the world famous Hoodoos. We’ll continue on Route 12 through Red Canyon, take small roads around Panguitch Lake, and stop in Cedar City for the night.
233 miles – Stay in Las Vegas, NV
Our last day of riding, we’ll leave Cedar City early and ride through the Pine Valley Mountains in southwest Utah before heading back into Nevada. We’ll visit the Valley of Fire on our way back to Las Vegas, ride the along Lake Mead, and visit the mighty Hoover Dam on our way back to Las Vegas for the night. We’ll host a farewell dinner with our new friends, walk the Las Vegas Strip a bit and call it a night.
Breakfast – then Goodbye
One last meal together then we’ll all head home, remembering the friendships made and the magnificent scenery of the American Southwest.
THIS TOUR IS ALL PAVED
|This is a scouting tour, which means that it’s a brand-new itinerary for us, and you have the privilege of being the first to ride it with us. We’re keeping it small on purpose, limiting the group to a maximum of six motorcycles. We’ll have one tour guide, and we’ll all carry our own luggage (there will be no support vehicle) in order to keep costs down. This is a very nice time of the year to travel here – cool nights, brisk mornings, not-too-hot afternoons in the National Parks.|
