We’ll then turn south and towards the heart of Colorado Wine Country: Palisade.

DualSport Riders: Today we have two choices: travel through the Grand Mesa National Forest and do a big loop South and have lunch in Paonia, head over to Austin and up to Skyway over curvy Route 65, catch a little more dirt over to Whitewater and up to our hotel for the night. OR we can make it a short day, do a little dirt road riding, then head to the hotel and take an early winery tour. in Palisade, the heart of Colorado Wine Country.

[No hot spring soaking tonight.]

DualSport Riders: Today we take the delightful Divide Road through the Grand Mesa – Uncompahgre – Gunnison National Forests to the small, intimate community of Ouray. Stretch your legs exploring this mountain town in the afternoon or take a soak in our host hotel’s private hot springs.

We’ll pack a lunch and ride up and over Los Pinos Pass, Waunita Pass and Cottonwood Pass, spending the night at the relaxing Cottonwood Hot Springs.

Day 7
Overnight in Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Our last day of riding together is certainly one of the most spectacular ones. Both groups will travel together on the pavement up and over the magnificent Independence Pass, eating lunch in Vail and arriving in Glenwood Springs for our final afternoon together. There is a choice for the dual sport folks to take in a few last dirt roads on our way back to Glenwood.

Day 8
Tour ends after Breakfast

Today we go our separate ways, knowing that our sisters in this adventure are now friends for life and will be riding with us on many future trips.

This tour is scheduled directly after the ADVWoman Rendezvous so riders can participate in the weekend of all women’s dual sport motorcycle training in Granby, Colorado, then head over to our tour start in smashing Steamboat Springs.  This tour is for all levels of riders.
